     Gary A. Yupangco had built successful enterprises in the fields of textile manufacturing and real estate. Other than his family and some of his closest friends, few people knew that Gary was an accomplished musician. During more somber moments and away from the din of corporate life, he would be found playing classical masterpieces on his treasured Yamaha grand piano together with wife Nita, herself a gifted concert pianist. Genetics would eventually dictate that all of their 6 children would become musically endowed.It was at one of these moments that Gary came to a realization. He observed that, like him, millions of other Filipinos were imbued with an inate musical gift that needed little prodding to be unleashed and developed into a skill. He was overcome with a desire to nurture that gift. He realized that the process had to begin with providing the Filipino with the best music education possible and by affording him with the finest musical instruments available.
