Filipino Metals Corporation was established in 1966 at Valenzuela, then still in Bulacan. Our initial product lines included angle bars, window sections, flat bars, and channel bars. In the 1970's, we managed to export angle bars to Singapore and Malaysia. In the early 1980's we had diversified and started the production of reinforcing steel bars (rebars), as well as wire rods. In 1993, we were able to start exporting rebars. In 1989, a new mill was commissioned, which boosted the capacity of the company.
Dependable quality and delivery are considered utmost priorities by the organization. After supplying to San Miguel Corporation’s Headquarters with superior and untarnished quality, the firm established itself as a dependable and capable supplier. Subsequently, we have supplied to various projects such as LRT, PCIB Head Office, Telecom Plaza, L.V. Building, Northern Luzon Expressway 2, SM Megamall, 6750 Building and Citibank Tower to name a few.
Since the firm’s initial objective of gaining acceptance among contractors and various owners has been achieved, we are now maintaining that reputation by fulfilling our commitment to serve our customer’s needs promptly and efficiently. Filipino Metals is also at the forefront in developing new products and processes. We have also successfully developed 50mm rebars which are crucial for columns of 50 storey buildings and nuclear power plants.
