Profile:
PALABRICA DUCK FARM was established last June 2005 with an initial population of 1000 duck heads. At first, the produced fresh duck egss were sold to various mamumulots (buyers of fresh duck eggs which processed salted eggs and baluts), But in 2007,PALABRICA DUCK FARM as well as the other duck farms in Victoria, Laguna, experienced over supply of fresh duck eggs coming from backyard duck growers of Bicol which w as being offeredo to our mamumulots at a very low price.
Because of this setback, majority of the duck growers in Victoria,Laguna decided to shutdown their operation because majority of the mamumulots were no longer buying our eggs due to very low price competition.
This prompted Palabrica DuckFarm to divert the selling of fresh duck eggs into processing for salted eggs and balut.
At present, the farm has 5000 duck heads wherein the daily egg production is being processed to produce balut and salted eggs.
