About The Company
Incorporated in 1976 as an elevator maintenance company servicing all types and brands of elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters and other hoisting equipment, General Elevator and Escalator Corporation has since expanded to include marketing and distribution of world-class brands and manufacturers in the Philippines.
It began in 1977, when we became the exclusive distributor of Semag SPA of Italy, selling numerous Semag elevators, traction and hydraulic types. We since extended our portfolio In 1989, becoming the exclusive agent of Industrial Villares S.A. from Sao Paolo, Brazil for high speed elevators. And in 1995 we began representing Koppel A.W. SPA of Italy for traction and hydraulic elevators, which we still do today. Then in 1996, we started marketing and installing Fuji Machine roomless elevators and escalators, as well as Daldoss Elevetronic and their Microlift and Microfreight Dumbwaiters and Elevators.
We furthered our efforts in 1997 and introduced Concord Elevators, which specializes in lifts for people in wheelchairs for homes and buildings; and in 2000, wheelchair lifts for vans by a leading U.S. supplier Ricon Corporation.
Then in 2001, we began marketing and installing XJ Siemens Elevators, Escalators, and Walkalators for low, medium and high rise applications. We also supplied malls and supermarkets with various elevator, escalator, and walkalator equipment.
