What is CLC?
The Christian Literature Crusade is a missionary fellowship of people drawn from many nations, denominations and backgrounds. All are dedicated to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and to the task of introducing others to Him. Their tool is the PRINTED PAGE as well as personal witness.
OUR BEGINNING
CLC was founded in 1941 in Colchester, England by Ken and Bessie Adams. It was founded as the autonomous literature arm of WEC International and eventually became an independent organization serving the world.
OUR MISSION
Is to make Evangelical literature and Bible available to all nations, so that people may come to faith and maturity in the Lord Jesus Christ.
OUR VISION
CLCâs aim is to make an impact to the entire country and to other Asian countries, by publishing relevant Christian materials, using strategic location of big cities as point of distribution.
OUR PEOPLE
CLC is a world mission fellowship with over 700 team members worldwide. Most CLCers are nationals working in their home countries, but we also have many cross-cultural workers.
OUR PRINCIPLES
Since our founding in 1941 we have had four distinctive guiding principles---Faith, Fellowship, Holiness and Sacrifice.
OUR STRATEGY
CLC uses various means to accomplish its purpose, but all are designed to fill gaps so that Christian literature can be made more widely available. Our primary method is to open and run Christian bookshops worldwide (now at 182 in 57 countries and counting). We also do translation, publishing, wholesale distribution, lending libraries and many other things.
