Profile:
Since 1996
Benepisyaryo ng Repormang Agraryo ng Darong Multipurpose Cooperative (BREAD MPC) started the business since April 1996.
They organized a cooperative with only 15 people from the group of farmworkers and some members of ARBs. After a few months, BREAD MPC completed all the documents to be officially registered.
Business Ventures
Through the years, BREAD MPC went into several businesses. The cooperative was before a sari-sari store and a bakeshop. But none of those was successful except for the cattle growing and also the buy and sell trading of banana.
In Darong, the place is very fitted in growing coconuts, so the cooperative ventured into a business in making coconut wine known as Darlina Bahalina. Darlina Bahalina is a kind of coconut wine from a coco sap or tuba. Usually, it needs at least one year of the distillation process to make coconut wine. Also, we have started to produce vinegar like our product 1L Coco Vinegar and 500ml Coco Vinegar. The process of making coconut vinegar is similar to other fermented vinegar such as apple cider vinegar. But, we made our product more special to produce a specific taste of sourness.
Other Businesses
The cooperative eventually ventured a business into livestock farming, livestock breeding, and production. Our farmers or our beneficiaries are the ones managing our livestock. They give their 24 hours of support every day to ensure the safety and condition of each livestock.
Recently, we have also ventured into sand and gravel quarrying and food catering services. Our food and catering services have a very well-trained cook and an organized team to help you with your special events. However, we are only able to provide services within Santa Cruz for now. With our sand and gravel, we promise and guarantee high-quality sand and gravel to ensure the stability and strength of our client’s construction activities.
