     JMU Law came into existence on December 28, 2000 when four lawyers, who graduated from the law schools of the Ateneo de Manila University and the University of the Philippines and used to work in the private and public sectors, decided to carve a common niche in law practice in the Philippines by signing its Articles of Partnership.The firm duly registered its Articles of Partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission on January 18, 2001 and started its operations on February 1, 2001.
