As a Certified Cosmetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr. Karlo Capellan graduated with a bachelorâs degree (Major in Biology) from one of the countryâs top-performing educational institutions, University of the Philippines-Los Baños.
Naturally, this educational venture of high calibre is only one of Dr. Capellanâs many achievements:
- He successfully completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of the EastâRamon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC).
- As a health professional who passed the Medical Board Exam, he was subsequently accepted into the General Surgery Residency program of Rizal Medical Center (RMC).
- For his sub-specialty training, Dr. Capellan was accepted into the Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic fellowship program of RMC (Consortium I), one of the accredited training programs sanctioned by the Philippine Association of Plastic Reconstructive And Aesthetic Surgeons (PAPRAS), the only organization recognized by the Philippine College of Surgeons as truly representative of plastic surgeon-specialists practicing both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
- During his last year of fellowship training his expertise in the field resulted to him being named as the Chief Fellow of the Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic fellowship program.
Dr. Capellanâs extensive experience in providing services to patients based in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia aided him in developing a professional and personalized approach to every patient he encounters.
