The Ateneo Law Journal, founded in 1951, began as a Journal published bi-monthly representing the collaborative effort of Ateneo student editors and staff members, and guided by faculty advisers. It featured articles of legal interest, the latest legislation, case law, and book reviews. Earlier volumes dedicated its final issue every year to digests of Supreme Court cases. As the Journal progressed through time, the contents of the issues evolved with the changing needs of the student body. For a time, even the reprinting of Bar questions and suggested answers became an integral part of the Journal's pages. During the early 90's, the Journal had to adapt to the most significant change in the Ateneo Law school curriculum - the introduction of the Juris Doctor degree. With this landmark, the Journal started to publish in its pages selected theses of the graduating batch. Until recent years, the Journal has regularly published such deserving theses. Moreover, the Journal included the works of law students.
