Profile:
     The ostrich is the largest living bird in the world. Native, to Africa, ostrich is flightless fowl, a characteristic they share with the emu, rhea, cassowary. They do well in captivity and may live up to 50 yeas in or out of the wild. They can achieve speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour, and if cornered can deliver powerful blow with their legs, their main defense against natural enemies.
