Eastgate Publishing Corporation is the official publisher of Mabuhay, Philippine Airlinesâ (PAL) award-winning travel and lifestyle magazine. In the past, it was published by a Singaporean firm. But that changed during a lunch meeting between then-PAL president Dante Santos and the late multi-awarded veteran journalist Max V. Soliven. Mr. Soliven commented on why PAL allowed foreigners to publish Mabuhay when we Filipinos know our country better. Realizing the truth in Mr. Solivenâs comment, Mr. Santos requested him to submit a proposal to publish the magazine.
