Profile:
     Core Maritime Corporation (CORE), a Filipino owned company, is engaged in the sea transport of refined petroleum products in the Philippine coastwise trade. The company started operations in 1988 with two chartered foreign vessels for use in the domestic trade. After two years of operations, the company bought its first vessel, the M/T Core Diamond. By 1992, its fleet had grown to three vessels with the acquisition of M/T Core Ruby and the Bareboat hiring of the M/T Hakuba, subsequently purchased and renamed M/T Core Sapphire.
