New International Flag House (NIFH) is the “true” pioneer flag maker in the country. All other flag manufacturers followed after it!
It is now on its fourth generation of flag making, continuing a noble tradition started by its ancestors. It remains a strong pillar of the industry and one of the largest as before.
The business prospered thru the years, with loyal customers coming from a broad cross section of the government, private firms and schools.
Its product portfolio includes flags, banners, buntings, pennants, flagpoles, ornaments and flag accessories. It is accredited by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, an assurance to customers that its products are in accordance with prescribed quality and specifications.
During its 90-year history, IFH moved its address several times as business grew but finally settled on its own 3-storey building along Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz Manila.
The 3-storey building houses its sales office and exhibit area on the first floor. A unique feature of the exhibit area is a glass shelf containing flags that chronicle the evolution of the Philippine flag from the Spanish period to the present-day four colors. Also on the wall is a replica of the first Philippine flag made by Marcela Agoncillo in Hongkong and unfurled in Kawit, Cavite in 1898.
The second and third floors of the building are the production and warehouse areas, thereby enabling a full integration of all functions in one location for more efficient overall operations. A complement of nine regular workers working 8-hour shift for six days a week handle regular production for stock as well as for made-to-order jobs. During busy periods, workers render overtime work and additional casual workers are hired.
New International Flag House remains the leader flag maker. It continues to offer products of good quality at competitive prices, even as newcomers succumb to the lure of profits at the expense of quality especially during the annual peak season when orders literally pour in like rain. That is because New International Flag House has a noble tradition and a fine reputation to uphold.
