     Walter Neal Boysen founded Boysen Paints in Oakland, California USA, in 1926.Taking advantage of his 6 years salesman experience for PPG Paint Company, Walter began manufacturing paints under his own label. His business followed a steady growth and a series of expansion despite the economic challenges of the US Depression years. Boysen implemented a heavy advertising campaign and created a network of dealer accounts which paid off and led to a stronger sales and acquisition of key retail outlets in Oregon and Washington states.
