     AALTAFIL traces its origins back to 1972 when Charles Madson began operating heavy equipment for the handling of bulk industrial products such as soda ash and silica sand.This led to the acquisition of cranes for use in clam shelling the bulk products.Eventually the cranes were used for contract lifting and this lead to the purchasing of larger cranes.
